This list is focused specifically on abolitionist anthropology. These may or may not be explicitly prison focused, but we consider them explicitly abolitionist, and mostly anthropological or ethnographic. There are other great abolitionist syllabus resources out there from other disciplinary settings (see teaching resources here), so we don’t want to reinvent the wheel, but rather to see what anthropology offers to the conversation.
